The Edinburgh LecturesThe Edinburgh Lectures is a series of inspiring and thought-provoking public talks and debates held between October and March. Each series addresses a range of major public issues based on an annual theme. Over 150 high-calibre speakers from home and abroad, including Stephen Hawking, HRH The Princess Royal, Mikail Gorbachev, Jackie Stewart and John Simpson, have provided insightful and stimulating contributions. The Lectures are led by the City of Edinburgh Council and presented in partnership with Heriot-Watt University, Napier University, National Museums of Scotland, The Open University in Scotland, The Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scottish Arts Council, The Scottish Executive, and The University of Edinburgh.
